KateCreativeGifts didn’t start in a boardroom; it started at my home in Melbourne during a year that really threw everything at me. Between losing my dear dad (my absolute best mate), career changes and navigating some really tough health battles, I found myself looking for a bit of light in the dark. When you’re going through the hard yards, you realise just how much a friendly chat or a thoughtful gesture matters.

With my two little ones watching on, I decided to pick myself up and pour my focus into something positive. I started learning the ropes of design and crafting from scratch, right through the middle of my treatment. What began as a way to keep my spirits up has grown into KateCreativeGifts.

I know that the best gifts aren't the ones you just pick off a shelf - they’re the ones that come from the heart. I put a lot of care into every personalised piece I make, because I know exactly how much a little bit of kindness can lift someone’s day.
